Comparing Afghani restaurant to American restaurant
I
went to the Papa Joe’s restaurant I did review on it, and I want to
compare an American restaurant with an Afghanistan restaurant. American
restaurant is very different from Afghanistan restaurant. There are many
different reasons that they are different, such as, the food, tables,
silver ware, dishes, table’s manners, and the restaurant building. When I
went to the restaurant they brought food for us when I saw the food it
was very oily. Afghani food is amazing food because it is very healthy
and if people eat as much as they want, but they never get fat. Afghani
food is looks like Kebab, different kind of rice, and vegetable soup
with meat. In Papa Joe’s I ordered pizza, spaghetti and salad. Then I
tasted it I was very hungry when I ate it was very oily that I did not
eat all of them. Afghani restaurant the outside of the building it is
very beautiful, and fancy, but Papa Joe’s it was kind of older, and not
fancy. This is the same as silver ware, dishes, and tables.
When
I enter the Papa Joe’s I saw a lot of things going on like people order
food, and there was music on. The restaurant was kind of old. I saw a
lot of things around the restaurant like wine cups, beer, and beautiful
flowers. People were sitting in outside as well as inside. My adviser
and I chose a table to sit at the restaurant. Then the waiter came to
us; he asked us, “What do you guys want?” My adviser answered him by,
“we need two coca cola.” When American people drink in a restaurant they
have one rule that they follow. Then they toast each other with the
glasses, but in Afghanistan people never do that. Then he brought the
menu that we have to order something from. We ordered cheese pizza,
spaghetti, and salad. This is a big different in Afghanistan because in
Afghanistan they never have menu to order their food. There isn’t much
variety that people can order the food they just telling the waiter to
bring any food they want than the waiter bring them food as soon as
possible. But in America restaurant we have to wait a long to bring the
food ready.

After
we ate I saw the girl was working in the restaurant that was very
interesting to me. She was taking care of her baby in her baby carrier
and working as well. She was wrapping napkins with the fork. Then the
boy came to us to ask how the food was. I said it is unhealthy for me.
Then he wanted to know why. After the food he brought the check and when
I saw the check for me was very interesting, because in Afghanistan
they don’t bring paper check. The waiter told us how much we should pay.
I think it was cheap the food in Papa Joes, but in Afghanistan is very
expensive to eat in restaurant.

I
want to my audience to go in Afghanistan one day and go to Afghani
restaurant. If they eat any food in there I am 95 percent sure they will
love the food there. They can eat a lot of different kind of food like
lamb kebab, when people eat their food after food they bring for them
tea. When people eat their food they never drink alcohol, because in the
Muslim religion they cannot drink any. In Afghanistan the drinks are
brought the same time as the food not before the food. In America they
bring the drinks in the pretty glasses, but in Afghanistan they bring a
big jug with the glasses. In Afghanistan they have sinks in the entrance
the beginning of the restaurant before they enter to the restaurant
they wash their hand. But in United Sates it is different because when I
went to the restaurant there wasn’t sinks that I wash my hand. Then I
asked them, “Where is the sink that I have to wash my hand?” They
answered me by telling me to go to bathroom to wash your hand. I was
very grossed out in the restaurant because it seems unclean to wash your
hand in the bathroom and then eat!

The
restaurant in Afghanistan is bigger than the restaurant in America that
I visited to review about it. It is divided into two sections by a
curtain, the men sit in one side and the women sit the other side. When
they cook the kebab or other stuff when you enter the restaurant it is
smell delicious. But when I enter the restaurant in here it only smells
like grease that I will never go to restaurant in America to never eat
the greasy food because I don’t like it is unhealthy. The only thing I
like the restaurant in America is the tables and the chairs, but in
Afghanistan the people have to recline on the couches. I would like to
see Afghanistan’s restaurant use tables and chairs like America. I would
like this because people can be comfortable to eat, and it would also
be good for people who work in the restaurant so that they can show what
their restaurant is like since the food are very expensive and it have
to be also pretty tables and chairs. The other difference would be in
Afghanistan’s restaurant is all people sit inside the restaurant no
matter what, but in American restaurant people can sit whatever place
they want. In Afghanistan restaurant they sit separated like men sit one
side, women sit other side, but if the women have men from their family
then they can sit together, but not with the men that they don’t know
them; they cannot sit with them.

The
other different would be the spoon is very different Afghani restaurant
have very small spoon and very colorful and beautiful the fork as well.
The other difference would be in America people going to restaurant a
lot to eat their food, but in Afghanistan not like that. It is like they
go to the restaurant once a month or every few weeks or once a year.
The other thing is if they have special events going on than they would
definitely go.

I really liked how I compared two restaurants to my audience. I also
liked certain amount of things that I learned about American restaurant
explain Afghani restaurant to American restaurant. For example some of
things that I discovered about American restaurant are the tables and
chairs, how they bring the food, drinks, and their attitude. Overall I
still liked Afghani restaurants more, because the food is very much
healthier than American food. However Afghani restaurant will learn
something good from American restaurant. I would like my audience to try
some Afghani food in an Afghani restaurant. I would love to hear back
from my audience what are their opinion about comparing this two
restaurants. Even though the food was unhealthier, but I liked how the
restaurant was, and how I observed. I really liked how they orderly, and
clean. The people in papa Joe’s were very nice, and kind.
